By the time I woke up, it was already the next morning.

The first thing I saw when I woke up was Carson sitting next to the window.

His eyes were closed and his slender legs were crossed carelessly.

The hospital ward smelled like drugs and antiseptic but there was also a subtle fragrance, not the pungent smell of perfume but a cool minty lavender fragrance.

The scent was from Carson, I recognized it as the smell of his bodywash.

I inhaled and exhaled a few times, my nose was stuffy and clogged probably from me kicking off the covers while I was asleep.
