He clenched his jaw finally giving up and walked to her bed grabbing the sheets and draping them over her shoulders.

Then walking straight out of that room.

By the moment her eyes turned to look at him, thank him, question him. He was gone.

The sudden Thunder out the window caught her by surprise earning a soft cry as she covered her ears.

She pressed her hand against her chest sitting next to the fire in the huge velvet chair and brought her legs to her chest.

As the water in the pot boiled, she closed her eye falling asleep.
