It took me a full ten seconds to react.

"What did you say?" I asked her.

"I will repeat. Even after the pregnancy, sometimes-" she started to say. However I raised a hand and stopped her from talking before looking at Emma's beautiful face and back again at the head healer.

"Pre.... Did you just say that Emma is pregnant?" I slowly asked her. This time, my voice shook like it never before. My heart started beating like crazy.

"Oh. I'm sorry my lord. Didn't you know already?" The head healer nonchalantly stated, making me want to throw her out of the window.
