I walked inside the room where I had left her. I waited in the middle of the night, sneaked in there, lying beside them, grabbing and pulling her towards my open arms, and wrapping them around her waist. I stuck my nose inside the crook of her neck so I could relax, sniff my mate's scent, and fall into a deep, comfortable sleep knowing she was in my arms and no one would take her away from me.
