Once inside the bathroom, I didn't pay attention to the surroundings. The bathroom was beautiful and bright, but I was too nervous to appreciate its grandeur. So I jumped when I heard the door close and lock.

I turned around and saw Hayes's expression, but it was the soft look on his face. I relaxed when I realized it was him, not the aggressive monster inside him that had been hostile towards me earlier. If Hayes hadn't changed back, I'm not sure what the beast would have done to me.
