Clarabel’s POV
Hearing Kaedryn’s scream bounce off the walls made me lose my vision for a moment.
"Kaedryn!" I shrieked, throwing myself forward, as I tried to sprint blindly into the pitch-black abyss ahead.
Before I could take three frantic steps, Malakai’s arms slammed around my torso, yanking me off my feet and dragging me back into a crushing grip.
"Can you stop doing this, Malakai? Let me alone! Malakai, let go!" I thrashed violently against him, kicking out my legs and clawing at the leather of his gauntlets.
"He's screaming! Did you hear him? He's hurt! Let me go! I need to save my son!"
