I breathe out in relief, then turned to Arthur after a few minutes.
“He said you should invite me inside for dinner and I happen to be particularly hungry” he touched his stomach to prove his words. “Aren’t you gonna invite me in?” he asked.
“Never” I growled in his face.
He stared at my face for a very brief moment, then laughed and shook his head.
“She’s scared of what I might say in there” he voiced my thoughts.
