A FEW YEARS LATER

I was standing near the pack house, gently rocking one of my twin babies in my arms. My husband, Matthias, stood beside me, cradling our other baby. 

The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm, golden light over the Cloudfall Pack territory. Little children ran around, their laughter filling the air as they chased each other through the grassy fields. The sounds of bustling activities could be heard all around as the pack went about their day.
