I was lying in bed, the heavy velvet drapes barely parting to allow the moonlight to filter into the room.
Several nude women were sprawled around me, their breaths slow and even, lost in a blissful sleep. But I was wide awake, my mind racing with thoughts that refused to let me rest. My daughter, Lillian, occupied my mind.
