I immediately kept myself in a stance to fight. "What the heck is happening, man?" I was irritated.

"Exactly what you see. I don't take lightly to other alphas coming to my pack to find out about my people."

The men had arrived and only waited for the monologue between us to end before attacking. They were a piece of cake, but what defied my understanding was Alpha Maximum's reaction.
