We had been walking for what seemed like hours and the deep darkness of the night was settling in as we stumbled further into the forest. The thick trees, gnarled branches, and dense foliage seemed to close in around us like a cocoon and created a feeling of unease that hung heavy in the air.

Finally, we arrived at a small clearing where we decided to set up camp. Everyone was exhausted as the events of the night had taken a toll on all of us. As I glanced around, I could see the weariness etched on everyone's faces, and it mirrored my own.
