In the morning, last night seems silly and surreal, like a memory of a movie you've seen, a book you've read. Nevertheless, I don’t plan to touch the box, although I completely forget about it by Ivan’s arrival: a pipe bursts in the bathroom, and I rush around the apartment ankle-deep in water, trying to shut off the rusted valve, turn off electrical appliances and not stretch out.
An indignant neighbor from below appears almost immediately, starting to run into me from the threshold:
- Well, what the hell, I recently finished the repair! Are you crazy there?
