As the car sped down the street, I was filled with the overwhelming urge to turn around and tell the council that I wasn’t interested in leading the pack anymore or anything else they had to offer, but instead, I kept my hands on the wheel and continued driving.
Going down that route would make no difference whatsoever, whether I decided to step aside as a leader or not, as a collective, we were endangered, and that problem needed to be solved.
