I sat quietly in my office, Gath and Jake were talking in hushed voices as they frequently turned in my direction, it was obvious they were talking about me.

My face was buried in my hands as l carefully listened to their conversations.

“I can't believe he said all that to Kristen,” Gath whispered.

“Kristen shouldn't have hurt his feelings the way she did, if she resents him, she didn't have to tell the world about their differences,” Jake defended.
