Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Okay, Time for bed", miss Torres said, hauling Juliana and her husband away from the room.

"Goodnight honey" she muttered blowing Ivanna a kiss, before closing the door behind her.

Ivanna sat down on the bed, smiling, and hoped this never fades away.

The next morning, she got up quite early, before anyone could wake up, and prepared dinner.

"Mom, Dad, please come out and see what just happened!!" Juliana yelled, amazed to see her sister in the kitchen, and this time in her own free will.

"Why the yelling" Mrs. Torres said as she and Mr. Torres ran downstairs beholding the same miracle.

"Who are you and what have you done to my daughter," Mr. Torres said, slowing walking up to her.

"Hahaha, it's me, dad," Ivanna said, as she playfully hugs him.

" Wow, the sun must have risen at the west" Mrs. Torres altered, as  Juliana giggled out.

"Just know I love you all," Ivanna said, taking her place at the table, as Juliana leads them in prayers.

" Dear God, thank you for making a wonderful day and keeping us alive, thank you for my sister, and I pray she remains like this in Jesus' name"  she prayed, pausing for a response, as they all glared at her.

"What, y'all supposed to say Amen" she replied to them, hurling the plate to her side.

"You unbelievable" Ivanna muttered

"And I love you sis" she replied to her, pinning a smile on her face.

Thus after breakfast, Ivanna and her sister,  took a stroll around town, as it was Juliana's day off at work.

"Oh, I forgot, today is a food festival at the community square today" she informes her sister.

"No way, the last time, we went for the festival, I vomited my intestines" Juliana confessed, declining her sisters offer

"Please sister!!! okay, just accompany me there," she says to her.

All hell is about to break loose when both sisters will get to know that the man they fantasize about, is one but the same man.

"Urgh, fine," Juliana said, thus deciding to go with her sister, as they strolled off.

Welcome to the food festival

A huge banner was hung at the entrance of the square, it was filled with people near and far, who came to relish the festivities.

"Get your corn dogs" a seller announced, as Ivanna rushed to his stand, yanking one off his hands.

"Wow, so delicious" she muttered, seeing how Juliana was salivating so hard.

"Sure, you don't want to taste," Ivanna asked her sister, giving her a plate.

"No thanks," she said,  ambling away from there.

" Hey wait for me" Ivanna yelled trying to keep up with her.

"How dare she, do that to me" Juliana whispered to herself when she pumped into Derick.

"Look where you're going" he muttered not realizing it was Julianna as she angrily held up her head.

"Oh, it's you" Juliana altered, surprised seeing him at the festival.

" What you doing here" he raised a question, glaring at her

" I came with my sister" she confessed, checking to catch a glimpse of her.

"Oh, will look for her later", he said, pinning a smile on his face.

"Where were you heeded too," Darick asked her, noting she wasn't paying scrutiny.

" l was kinda running away from my sister," she said with a smile.

"Oh, your sister must be a trouble maker," he said, smiling at her.

" You have no idea," she let out, chuckling at him.

"Do you mind, if we find somewhere and sit?" Darick asked, waiting for her response but before he could alter another world, she hastily accepted

"Okay sure, why not!!".

Abruptly to her, she couldn't decline the offer on the table to finally get a chance to be with her crush.

"Let's go," he said as they both walked off to a coffee stand.

"So how you" he raised a question, pinning a warm smile on his face.

"Am fine and you" she replied to him, clenching on the cup of coffee placed beside her.

They both talked for hours and she forgot that Ivanna was at the festival with her. Juliana giggled at all the jokes of Derick even though it wasn't meant to be funny but the devil decided to stare up peril in the lives of both sisters, with Ivana standing outside the coffee stand glaring at her sister and the man she was in love with.

Ivanna thought stumping in would not be right, so she left angrily leaving her sister behind, and trust me she wouldn't let it go so easily anxiously awaiting her sister's return.

An hour later

"Hello, sister" Ivanna let out the minute Juliana came back.

"Jesus Christ Ivanna, you scared me," she placed her hands on her chest as she let go of a deep breath.

"I hoped you enjoyed the festival," Ivanna said, glaring at her with a stern look.

"Yes sis", Juliana walked up to her, in hopes of telling her what occurred at the festival which of cause Ivanna witnessed all that went down.

" So what happened" Ivanna raised a question, sited on the couch, as  her sister opens up to her in an excited mood,

" I am so happy," she says then noticed her sister's dull behavior"What's going on with you, are you okay?" " Juliana asked, as she saw how moody her sister was for a reason she doesn't know about.

"Nothing" she angrily let out, as she walked off to the room, leaving her sister confused about what the problem was but Juliana wasn't ready to back down without knowing the truth.

"Spill it" Juliana ordered her sister to talk to her.

"It's nothing" Ivanna kept altering and her sister knew anytime she muttered the same words, something is wrong.

"You can't fool me, sister," Juliana said, as she ordered her to open up to her.

"You want to know," Ivanna said, as she turned to meet her glare

"Yes please," Juliana altered, waiting for an explanation about her sudden change of behavior.

"Okay I'll tell you" she replied to her, glaring into her sister's eyes.
