The attendants kept busy carrying things, and I casually stopped one, "What's going on here?"

"These are the queen's initial additions. The housekeeper was afraid that the king would be sad to see them, so they were all put away, and now the king has ordered that they be restored to their original state."

I nodded, feeling a little uncomfortable, and asked again. "Where is the king?"

The valet pointed in a direction inward, and I walked in, and he was sitting slumped on the stairs, in a trance.
