Daniel gave me a meaningful look, leaving Autumn to kneel in place. I walked over and pulled her up, but she shrugged it off and took a few steps backwards warily. "Is there something wrong with Mr. Alpha?"

"Call me Gabriel."

"We don't know each other well enough for that."

"Okay. There's a basketball game at school tomorrow night, want to come along?"

"I'm not available."

"The day after tomorrow is fine, it's held for three days, you make time."
