Chapter 5 *

Isabella's POV

Sitting on my bed with my sketchbook on my lap, thinking about the next thing to draw for relaxation.

My wedding has been finalized by my parents to a guy I want ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with him.

My big sister; Mirabel loves and can practically worship the ground he walks on and I don't see why.

He isn't even handsome. He is a two-faced son of a bítch. He hasn't done anything to prove it but I just don't like him.

The smile he always carrys on his pale white face seemed anything but real, it is the fakest smile I have ever seen in my eighteen years of living and breathing.

His green eyes seemed like a cat's eyes minus the cuteness. I shouldn't haté and loathe after him like that but for some reasons, I do.

UNFORTUNATELY for me, I'm going to be known as his wife. Richard Fitzgerald's wife and I'll be called Isabella Fitzgerald.

This is so demeaning. . . Oh, I mean, disgusting and stupid and dumb and senseless.

My hand starts moving, the pencil in my hand tracing something. . . Anything on the book.

This is the only thing that makes me feel human. When I'm drawing or painting, it calms me down in ways I can't explain. It is the most exhilarating and stimulating feeling ever.

I'm Isabella Vincent, the daughter to a wealthy parents. . . Well, not really. My grandfather is still the owner of all the companies my dad is running.

Speaking about my Dad, he is the best Dad anyone could ask for. He loves me, I love me. He didn't deprive me of anything I wanted in life.

I wish those words weren't as satirical as they were.

You know those genies in kettles in cartoons, if I was to see one in the actual life, I would only wish for one thing.

That is to disappear from the world totally without any trace of finding me.

My father has made me feel anything but hatred and unwantedness. He made it pretty obvious that he didn't want to give birth to me, I was a mistake and Mirabel was the planned and loved one.

At least, my mother loves me. I am grateful and thankful for that.

My door creaked open and I sighed, looking at the person.

It was my lovely sister -- Mirabel.

By the way, that was also a satire.

" Isabella, " She croaks, sadly sitting on the bed beside me. " I want to talk to you, are you busy?"

I wonder what she wants now. I'm too detached for this.

" Well, yeah, I'm drawing. " I replied.

" Please, Bella. It is really serious, this is the matter of life and death. "

Okay, she might be exaggerating right? After all, she is a drama queen.

Her brown eyes watered and her lips quivered, sobbing quietly.

I exhaled tiredly, covering my sketchbook. " Fine, fine, fine. What is the matter?"

" Your marriage is in two days. "

She doesn't have to remind me about the horrible mistake my parents is making me make. A lifetime mistake.

" Oh. . . Okay?" I draws out the question. " Why are you informing me of that? Everyone in the country knows about it. There's literally no reason to remind me. "

" I know, Bella but do you know what would happen to me if that wedding goes on?"

No. I don't and honestly, I do not care. She has been nothing but mean to me since childhood.

" I will kíll myself. " She replies her question after I remained quiet. " I'm sure you don't want me dead, right?"

Annoyingly, she was right. I don't care what happens to her doesn't mean I want her dead.

" What do you want, Mirabel?" I asked, standing up from the bed and leaning on the wall to face her face directly.

" I want to be the one under the veil during the wedding. I want to replace you before the wedding ceremony. "

Hmm, makes sense.

" You know I have always loved Richard since I was eight and I can't bear to see him married to you, my younger sister. " She said, shaking her head as a tears dropped from her eyes.

Dramatic, much?

" Sure, whatever. I don't care about this marriage in the first place. "

She springs up on her feet, hugging me tightly. " Thank you, thank you so much. You have no idea how much this makes me happy. "

This was the first time my elder sister has hugged me without pretending to be the perfect big sister in public or in front of my parents.

And surprisingly, it felt nice.

" Sure, you are welcome. "

She pulled away from the hug, tucking her shiny black hair behind her ear. " I haven't been good to you, I'm sorry. I promise to be better. "

" Not important anymore. "

She nods her head. " I'll be the one to pretend to get you all set up for the ceremony with my friends then I'll message Mom that I needed to go somewhere urgently and then you'll run out through the back door. "

" You seemed to have put a lot of thoughts into this plan of yours. " I muttered, nodding my head.

" Yeah, I guess. I just love Richard too much to let him go. "

" Let him go?" I scoffed, laughing. " He was never yours to begin with but who cares?"

" Isabella, I know. You won't understand, you have never loved anybody before so I don't blame you. "

" Mirabel, I know that. If I ever get to love someone, he will be the greatest man on Earth. "

She smiled, patting my shoulders. " Richard Fitzgerald is the best but you don't get it. He is every girl's dream. "

Squeezing my face in disgust, I shook my head negatively. " Not mine, I would rather marry a criminal than to marry Richard. "

She shrugs. " Get ready and pack. We are leaving in two hours time to the resort. "

I watched her leave my room and started jumping up, squealing.

I'm not getting married to Richard Fitzgerald, yay!
