   “Please,” I whispered again, the word scraping out of my raw throat like I’d been screaming for hours even though I hadn’t. My whole body was shaking so hard the couch cushions were trembling under me. 

  

   “I can’t—I can’t take any more of this edging shit. I need you inside me, right fucking now.”
