She waved goodbye to me before opening the door and slipping out of the room. I watched her exit the classroom, before I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. I turned around in time to see my dad hurrying into the room, looking slightly worried.

"Did you forget something?" I asked.

"No, just making sure everything is alright between you and Ariana." he explained, looking concerned.

"Why did you leave so fast?"

"Nothing. It was nothing. She just got hungry," I told him, lying through my teeth.
