"Good morning. Are you ready for today?" I ask.

"Yes. I am. Thanks for asking. How are you feeling?"

"Much better." I answer with a smile.

"Are you hungry? Should I make you something?" Romano asks.

"No, no. I'm fine. You go ahead and make your plans. I will join you when you're ready." I tell him.

"Ok. I won't be long."

Romano stands up and starts walking down the stairs, taking two steps at a time. Before reaching the bottom of the stairs he stops and looks over at me.

"I love you." he whispers to me.

"I love you too."

"See you later."

Romano heads down the driveway....
