"Let's go," I murmured as I placed my hand into the pocket where I had stashed my phone before making my way back inside through the open doorway, she close behind me.

"How are you doing?" I asked as we slowly made our way across the living room.

"I'm okay," she responded softly.

"Really?" I questioned her curiously.

She nodded her head as she stared forward, watching her feet drag against the floor. "I've been dealing with everything really well. Everything is still pretty much going as planned. I think we're getting somewhere at this point."

I smiled slightly as we continued our journey, neither of us saying anything more...
