Lola’s POV
I chewed on the inside of my cheek, thinking.
It was risky.
But we had nothing to lose.
"What about Aliana?" Robert asked, watching me carefully. "She’s your territory. How’s it going?"
I sighed, leaning against the bedpost. "Slower than I’d like. The restaurant is airtight. No major flaws, no scandals. She runs it like a damn queen."
Robert frowned. "Then find a way in. You always do."
I smiled coldly. "Oh, I will. I’ve already started planting doubts among the staff. And today, I saw something interesting."
Robert raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"Her son," I murmured.
Robert’s expression darkened. "The kid?"
I nodded slowly. "He’s always around....
