I was summoned to alpha Konan's study. This time I was unsure of what to expect. I walked down to his study with my heart pounding in my chest. I entered the grand study and stood right in front of alpha Konan, who sat on his chair—unflinched.

"Which do you want to hear first Madeline. The good news or the bad news," he asked.

I was confused. He could start with anyone he deemed fit, why was I compelled to make a choice.
