I walked as fast as my legs could carry me to Madeline’s room. I sincerely prayed to the moon goddess to avert the news. I deeply hoped it was false. I was strongly in denial.

With everything happening in the pack in the past few days, my position as the alpha was hanging on a thin lined thread and this wasn’t the right time for such tragedy to occur.
