Tracking Maia became difficult because it seemed like whoever took her moved her from one place to another. I was first able to track her scent into an old cabin in the middle of the no-man's-land, but when we got there, they were already gone. There were no signs of fighting or forced entrance, so it must have meant that either she was able to escape or they left. When her scent led me to a familiar trail, my heart pounded faster.
