It was Johan, What was he doing here?

'Have lost your respect, don't you know that you're supposed to greet the next Alpha to be," my step mother spat.

"It's okay," Johan said trying to paint a good image of himself.

"No it's not, apologize this instant," she screamed hitting her hands on the table, her face reddening.

I had no choice but to apologize, "I'm sorry," I said bowing my head.

"With the look on your face, let me guess you walked back home," Natasha said with a mocking smile on her face.

"It is good that you finally accepted their proposal, you see, they are trying to help you," my step mother said using the method she usually uses, making me think that they were doing me a favour.

"This is the decision you ha e ever taken in life, don't mess it up," my step father said.

Those words cut deeper than it should have, it meant my life was useless, they sure do know how to break a person's spirit.

"You will leave with us now, the insemination will take place in two days," Natasha said walking towards a chair. "Go wait outside," she said dismissing me with a wave of a hand.

I nodded and left the dinning room, I was no different than a maid, infact I was much worse.

I went out of the house and stood at the door, pacing back and forth, I have been wondering what I did wrong in life, what offense I committed as far as I could remember but I never got an answer.

I had prayed and prayed to the moon goddess but no e of my prayers seemed answered, I didn't succeed in any thing, not even in committing sucide, at this moment tears began to flow freely from my eyes, my head felt heavy but it wasn't as heavy as my heart.

I heard footsteps behind me, I quickly cleaned the tears from my eyes, I turned to see and I saw them walking hand in hand, my stomach churned in anger, but I did well in hiding my emotions.

They walked past me without even saying a word to me, they went into the back seat of the car and I went to the cat and sat beside the driver.

"Move," Johan commanded and immediately the driver started the car and drove off.

I looked up at the rearview mirror and I saw them kissing passionately in the back seat, my face turned red from the anger burning inside of me, what made it worse was the fact that I knew I couldn't do anything to stop them.

I lowered my head and sat there quietly throughout the whole ride.

Soon, we got to the house, we went in and were greeted by some maids.

"Take her to the smallest room, you can find," Natasha said looking at like she was disgusted by my sight.

The maid nodded and lead to a room and indeed it was small but I had no choice, I should be grateful I have a place to lay my head.

I laid on the bed and closed my eyes trying to organize my thoughts and also reassure myself that I will be fine.

"You'll be fine, just carry that baby and birth it then all your debts will go away," I encouraged myself.

After this I will pick up the pieces of my life and make sure I never see their face again.

I laid there, fighting a losing battle with sleep finally I gave up, my eyes shut close.

"Alpha king," I said looking at a mysterious man.

He turned and it was indeed the alpha king, what was he doing here.

"Wake up, you good for nothing being," Natasha's voice brought me back to reality accompanied by a splash of water on my face.

It was a dream, this was the second time.

"You think you have he luxury to sleep," Natasha said hitting the bowl on my head. "Get up, we need to get you checked to see if you can even bear a child," she said and walked out of the room.

I stood up and got a towel to dry my face and also my dress as I did not have any other dress to change into.

I went to the living room to find the pack's doctor already seated there with a nurse, I thought I was going to the hospital for the test but I was wrong.

"Miss Aveline, to proceed with the test we need your urine sample," the doctor said handing me a small tube.

I nodded and went to the bathroom and tried as much as I could to get that urine out of me, I closed the lid and took it to the doctor.

I sat down and watched as he put a small mobile like device in it,

Just then Natasha walked in, her presence demanding attention, I looked closely at her and I noticed her baby bump was no longer there.

I was confused and puzzled but kept quiet.

"Her fertility rate is 101," the doctor amazed by his findings.

"What does that mean?" Natasha asked, Johan walked in to the siting room.

"It means her fertility rate is high, the highest I've ever seen," the doctor said, his eyes were filled with surprise and fascination as he looked at me.

"Okay that's great," Johan said walking back to wherever he came from.

"Finally, something you're useful for," Natasha said non chalantly but I could sense the anger and jealously in her voice, my heart tingled a bit at he fact that she was jealous of me.

That brought my eyes back to her stomach, it was flat, seems like she had taken off her fake pregnancy.

"Here what you asked for my lady," the doctor said handing over to her an envelope.

"Make sure no one heard about this," Natasha said, her expression was grave, her eyes seemed to bore into the doctor's soul.

"Of course my lady," the doctor replied forcing a reassuring smile but his eyes betrayed him.

My gut told me that was her fake miscarriage report, the Alpha king would skin her alive if he were to find out.

She turned to me with those malicious eyes, "get ready it's happening tonight," she said before turning to leave.

"What!" I said but she didn't stop to hear what I was trying to say.

She said in two days and I was thankful for that because I would have prepared my mind for the journey I was about to embark on but I guess life never moves the way I want it to.

What could have caused this sudden change of plans, I had an ominous feeling but there was nothing I could do, I had to do this to survive.

I walked back into my cramped room waiting for time to pass, luckily for time seemed to pass very fast.

It was eight o'clock on the dot and I heard a knock on the door, I opened and it was one of the maids.

"Lady Natasha calls for you," she said and turned to leave almost immediately.

She didn't even bother to tell where Natasha was but I guessed she was in the living room so I went and found her there.

"You called for me," I said to draw her attention to me.

I saw the doctor from the other preparing an injection.

"Sit," Natasha commanded without taking a glance at me.

"I thought the insemination was going to take place in the hospital, what are you trying to do..," the doctor rushed over to me and injected me before I could finish my statement.

My eyes became heavy, my vision began to blur.

"Take her to the room," I heard Natasha say.

The men carried my limp body to the room as they had been ordered, they placed me in the bed and left.

As the time went by my vision became worse, suddenly I saw a man walk in.
