Eve opened her eyes the next morning, and her gaze fell on the man who was sleeping at the farther end of the bed. Ethan's back was to her and he'd pushed down the sheet that she put on him last night. 

Eve sighed and reached out with her hand to touch him, but her hand halted mid-air. Ethan was still mad at her, she could feel it radiating from him. 

She sat up on the bed and turned on the bedside lamp. Her eyes went to the tiny clock. It was four in the morning. 

Eve left the bed and wobbled into the bathroom, yawning and rubbing her eyes....
