When I woke up for Fazar prayer, Ammi was still sleeping. I remained staring at her peaceful sleeping face.

While caressing her hair, I said, “I can do anything for you ammi. I won’t letanything happen to you or our..”

I stopped mid-sentence when Ammi opened her eyes. Before she could say anything, I again spoke up.

“Prayer time Ammi. You wake up, I am going to check on Tithy.”
