POV: Heather

“What secret?” I asked him, acting as if I have no idea of what he is talking about. He smiled crookedly, tipping his head to the side and giving me a strange look. I turned away from his eyes, looking anywhere but at him. There is something about those eyes that makes me so uncomfortable. It seems like he can read my mind through my eyes and it’s so annoying and sweet at the same time.

We were inside his room, sitting on the couch. But he still had me in his arms, holding me close to his chest as if I were some kind of a trophy...
