“Thank you,” I muttered softly, kissing her even more. It’s nice to know that someone has my back despite all the traitors around me. We were still at the waterfall and she lay peacefully in my arms as the waters cascaded down into the river next to us. The sounds from the waterfall are enough to hide our scent and block out our conversation from anyone trying to listen in on our conversation. Even our wolves knew about the danger we were facing, so our inner thoughts were being shielded from outsiders as we created a bond that was stronger than any other.
