As the maids ran around the room looking for solutions, Beta Henry widened the door and rushed in with the pack physicians.
They carried me to the bed, dipped a camel-skin towel into a bowl of herbs and squirrel venom, and wrapped it on my head.
The cold liquid touched my skin and cooled it a little. It helped better by lowering my temperature, but the heavy headache didn’t stop.
“Young queen, I believe this will do. It’s a herb mixed with cinnamon and snail juice, Please drink it,” one of the physicians said, handing over a shot to me which I hesitated not in gulping down, praying...
