“They can’t find him?” Reo’s edged.

One of the junior analysts gulps and nods. “Sir—uh, Eugene Mallory hasn’t checked in since yesterday. And his digital signature—it's... gone.”

Reo stares at the blinking spreadsheet on the conference room screen. His hand balls into a fist beside his thigh. “Gone how?”

“No login from his legal credentials,” Blair replies crisply from across the room. “His access badge was last scanned two cities away. And…his cloud drive’s been wiped.”

Reo exhales through his nose. “Wiped by who?”

“Your guess is as good as mine,” Blair mutters as she taps a stylus against her tablet. “But I think I know why.”
