As the time for the party drew nearer and nearer, I couldn't get rid of this nagging feeling that something dramatic was going to happen. I tried to kick it out of my head but it just wouldn't leave. I sat on the bed, staring at myself through the mirror and the reality of how slim I had grown dawned on me. "It must have been the stress of the last few days that affected me and made me lose weight," I said to myself as I carefully Examined my face for whatever spot that may be there.
