Veronica's POV 

My door was opened and in front of me was Shane in handcuffs. My eyes shrunk with surprise and my mouth widened. 

Police officers were beside him and Shane wore a prisoner's clothing. 

“What's happening here?” I asked, and my secretary proceeded forward.

“We found Shane in prison.” She informed me.

This was a hard one to process. I stood on my feet and I proceeded forward. 

“What happened to you, Shane?” I asked, looking at his face.

“I went back into my business when I left here. "And it landed me in prison,” he reluctantly explained.

My heart held my chest tightly. A few breaths puffed out...
