Alyssa’s POV

Veronica stayed in the hospital for another two days, and nothing we said was able to convince her to stay longer.

In those two days, the doctors did several examinations and only let her go because they had determined that she was largely healed, except for some injuries that needed more time to heal, which were given instructions for on how to care for them.

And so, here we are turning into the driveway of Veronica’s house. From the outside, everything looked the way it had the last time I was here. I’m sure the inside would be the same too.
