 "Why are you defending her instead of me, your mother!" Alexander's mother snapped.

 

 

 I just kept quiet. Watch this debate.

 

 

 "You must have poisoned my child! That he dares to argue like this!" girder her.

 

 

 I remained silent, not expecting what she said. Then I looked at Alexander's mother with an annoyed look. Sometimes she would say something like that to me.

 

 

 "I-I never did anything to Alexander, ma'am."

 

 

 "Stop! Don't call me mom! I'm not your mom!" He jerked again.

 

 

 I fell silent.

 

 

 "You can't be like that with Veronica, you have to respect me for loving her," said Alexander. I smiled, feeling lulled by his words.
