In the backseat of the SUV, I duck lower as Frank drives past the pack's main villa.

Alpha Ty has to be awake by now.

Even though I'm leaving on the Alpha King's order, I dread having him see me. What will he think when he discovers that his alpha-command didn't work? I try to imagine the look on his face but fail.

I can't thank Goddess enough that Zach is making me work today. It doesn't matter that the scandal will reach his ears sooner or later. At least, for now I can be near him and be occupied.
