I should feel grateful for his help. And I do. So why does his answer leave this strange ache in my chest?

Of course, he's helping me because it's not easy finding another PA. What did I expect? That he's nice because we had sëx? Which he paid for? It's not like I expect him to catch feelings from that one unfinished encounter in a brothel.
