"Why? Do you have to listen to everything that Monica says? She's only trying to get to you," Jack retorted sadly.

Vera stood up from the bed and entered her bathroom. She spent two minutes brushing her teeth and taking a quick shower. She expected him to give her some privacy, but he sat down on the bed and watched her.
