There is no other guard checking out until eleven and by then I am usually long gone.

"Okay" I sigh out, still terrified

I quickly reach my left arm over so that I can grab onto the metal pipe that is attached to the castle.

After doing this I carefully scooch down the ledge a bit more until I reach the edge of it.

You only have one chance to do this, Elaine.

I take in a deep breath of air before releasing the pipe from my hand and reaching out for the branch.

As I do this my body leans forward, this allows gravity to do its job....
