My black hair is styled in a low bun with a very long veil shoved into it...well the clip that the veil is connected to.

My father smiles at this.

"Nothing less than beautiful, as per usual" he assures me

I chuckle at his compliment.

"Thank you for everything" I say

He furrows his eyebrows at this.

"Of course, you deserve nothing less"

The maid and my father help me through my bedroom door and towards the large staircase.

"She's ready! Tell the pianist to begin playing!" The maid yells to the workers downstairs

It takes us a lot longer than I feel comfortable admitting to carefully descend the...
