She quickly stared at me before continuing. She didn't like being interrupted whilst speaking.

"I will speak to him. I am sure he will accept her."

While I know she will speak to him, I have little or no hope about her getting his approval. Though friendly and accommodating, my father would never compromise disrupting his pack for a stranger.

"Nothing will ever come in between us, no matter who or what it is," he would swear to us.

But Lisa isn't a problem to us. In fact, my mother and I believe she reminds us so much about Mel. She's always the first to deny it, but...
