Hugo's POV

I was billed to catch a flight back to California the following morning. My mother, Dr Bill and ailing father were already waiting for me to return so we can proceed to New Delhi, India, for the surgery. Dr Bill had volunteered to go with us to provide medical help in case we needed one on our way there.

It was already past ten midnight, but I couldn't sleep. I am not one who stays awake at that time, except it was extremely important.

This one certainly was.
