But John claims she's alive. He said he saw her, but the lady he speaks of is Mel, the strange lady at the wedding party.

I know there's a striking resemblance between them, but she's not Melissa. She speaks with so much confidence, something Melissa didn't have. Besides, she doesn't have Melissa's long red hair.

Johnny can't be right, certainly. He's just overcome with guilt.
