I opened my eyes slowly, blinking a few times. I flexed my fingers, feeling the plush cushions of the sofa.

“Brody, she’s awake,” Callie whispered.

I turned my head and smiled weakly at Broke as he kneeled at my side. He returned the smile, before sighing heavily and pushing his fingers through his hair.

“What happened?” I questioned.

I remember finding Brody, feeling weak, and then passing out. I tried reaching Allie, I can still sense her and hear her softly snoring. Whatever we did must have taken it out of her.

“You healed me, Alora.” He answered. “Did you know you had healing powers?”
