BRIANNA'S POV

 

I continued to stare at Ares until a voice reached my ears. It definitely wasn't Ares speaking. Weird—who could it be, and to think this person had called me by my name?

 

“Brianna,” the voice called again. It was louder but still as gentle as the earlier call. I turned my head in the direction where the call had come from.

 

I was stunned, unable to believe my eyes. Was I hallucinating things? Definitely not. I dabbed my face with my hand to be sure I was seeing right. The figure remained before me and was even approaching at top speed.
