"Is there something you are not telling us?" Kai posed as we drove to the mansion after the bodies were carried to the town and messages sent out for identification. If someone could identify any of the rogues, then we could at least try and trace their origins.

The alpha kings had canvassed the outside grounds, with me trailing behind them, trying to find dark magic. And I did; I felt it a few meters from the borders, not the failed one on the rogues, but something else, darker and icier.
