Louisa sniffs, her breath hitching as she hears a sound at her door.

She quiets down to listen well and it turns out to be a knock.

At first the knocks are timid as if the guest is unsure whether or not to disturb her.

She ignores it, unwilling to entertain any guest at the moment but then it becomes firm, deliberate and relentless.

“Louisa! I know you're in there, open the door.”

Her head snaps up and she blinks, surprised at the familiar deep voice on the other side of the door.
