I tightened my hold on my baby’s waist, reminding him that he wasn’t alone. I wanted to tell him not to look at the reports, but I don’t control his life and I can’t shield him from absolutely everything; no matter how much I wanted to. It’s unrealistic. It was also his decision to look at these reports and he had just as much right to do so as any of us; so I would support him either way.
